Flowers for mom
My mom is a master gardener. This entry should interest her (maybe Heather too?).
Here we have a white ginger flower, a yellow hibiscus (the state flower), and a bird of paradise (in Illinois colors no less!). There is a chance I don't have these labeled correctly but the Audubon volunteer told me about the white ginger.

Gorgeous! You're right, caught my eye right away. Bird of Paradise is one of my favorite flowers, along with the passionflower. So exatic. You know, goes with my flamboyant personality. Ahem.

yes, i think you labeled it correctly. and this is from the person who photographed those flowers :). but it's true, we're no horticulturalists.
