Update! Update!

Well our lives have been turned upside down lately. Seth's mom has generously given us the gift of new hardwood floors and the skilled labor of her partner, Chuck. All of this means that our living room, nursery, and hall closets have been completely emptied and we have been living at Seth's grandma's apartment while the dust settles and the paint dries. I have no idea where the cord to our camera is and so there is no picture for this post. Before and after pictures to come.

We were concerned that all this turmoil would disrupt Amelia's routine. It has but in a wonderful way. SHE STARTED SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!! YAY! The past 5 nights she has slept 9-10 hours! It is so hard to believe. Previously she occasionally slept up to 6 hours at a time but usually was wanting to nurse every 3-4 hours. Now she is sleeping so much both day and night it is a little freaky. We are trying to enjoy it while recognizing it might not last....

Yay!
Hope it lasts! Justin teased me with three long nights in a row last week, but we're now back to 11pm, 3:30 and 7...ah well. Could be worse.
How long hav you been out of your house? And when are you back in?
Should be gorgeous.
Miss you guys.

Oh, that's so wonderful. Sounds like you've turned a corner. Or, at least, you know it's POSSIBLE that sleep will come your way again.

Of course the night after I wrote this she was up at 11pm and 5am. oh well! I don't think that is so bad for Justin, Heather. 3.5- 4.5 was what was good for little A before last week. And a month ago we never got any long nights.

We were out of the house since last Sunday and now we are back in. But we are confined to our bedroom, the kitchen and the basement. I have to find places to go during the day to escape the endless pounding! But it is going to look great. Seth said we can grease Amelia up and slide her butt across the floor without her getting a splinter :) That's the goal!!!

Hmm, "Amelia Bowling" - that sounds worth a trip to Urbana!

Don't worry about the sleep thing. She's getting the hang of it. Once Lydia really started sleeping, she slept about 18 hours a day for the first year. We won't talk about our Little A - yours is going to be a sleeping champ. I have faith! -Sara
