Judson Thomas Kerlin (the first)

Here he is! Vital Stats- 19 inches, 5lbs. 12 oz, born at 9:21 am August 6 at Carle Hospital. Laura went into labor at 9:20 am. Well not really but that's kind of how it felt. Her water broke at 3 am, I dragged her to the hospital at 8:20 (against her will because she thought it was way early to be going) and we got up to our birth room probably around 8:30 or so. Roughly 30 minutes later she started having hard contractions. And seriously it took her about 20 minutes or so of hard labor to have the baby. I almost passed out a couple times (you know- blood, screaming, etc.) but held my ground and next thing I knew there was this baby. Weird.

Anyway we are so grateful for little Judson. He is awesome and is nursing and healthy and everything. Thanks so much to God, grandmas, sisters, friends, cousins, and so on who have all been so supportive and kind. We love you all!

Laura is healing quickly and well. She needed a few stitches but she is in great shape overall- physically and emotionally and in all ways.

The day is wearing on and we are looking to get some sleep. We should be going home on Sunday...
